PO353 - Policy Analysis and Development

​​This is a research course that explores, analyses, and develops policy. Students will understand the policy process cycle, theories and frameworks to analyze policy, and the methodologies to develop policy evaluations and alternatives. The course is primarily centered on public policy; however, private industry policy analysis is discussed.  Policy development is the government policy-making process to solve an issue that generally affects the public. Public policy is government-set objectives relating to the general health and welfare of the public and actions taken to accomplish these objectives.

​This course will be offered online, but will require regularly scheduled synchronous sessions.​

PO343 - Principles of Public Administration
Prerequisites
Successful completion of PO343 with a final grade of “C” or better, or permission of the instructor.
