ID020 - Real Men Lead Program Special Topics in Education/Service Learning

This course will continue to provide support and assistance to Black male students in collegiate transitions focused on student success at Limestone University. Students will develop an understanding of personal, professional, academic, and social transitional experiences and navigational support in articulating these experiences. Students will create, develop, and apply critical thinking strategies in areas of time management, study skills, career planning, resource utilization, and media literacy. Students will be equipped with skills that will allow them to be self-aware, self-motivated, socially, and civically engaged, and acquire personal agency. Additionally, the course will examine strategies for campus and community leadership, student engagement, college etiquette, post-graduate planning and career placement.  The primary goals of the Real Men Lead Program are to increase the academic success, retention rates, and graduation rates of Black male students at Limestone University.
