The Bachelors in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration meets the South Carolina State Board of Accountancy requirements for accounting and business credits to register and take the CPA exam in South Carolina. The program will prepare students with the understanding of accounting theory and its application; many consider accounting the language and basic tool of business, so it may be the best route to a successful business career. In an increasingly complex and competitive business environment, accounting skills are very much in demand in every type of business–large or small, public or private, for-profit and not for profit. These accounting skills combined with other business administration courses, where students explore other in-depth business topics – such as Ethical Issues in the Workplace and Principles of Marketing – leaves Limestone graduates well-rounded in their fields.
